How do the spark plug wires fit?
« on: November 06, 2012, 08:47:45 pm »
86 chevy pick up with 350.  Do the soark plug wires run behind the valve cover down and under the exhaust manifolds and then to the spark plug?  Bought a pair of new plug wires and they do not fit by running them over the valve cover and over Ex. Manifolds.

Sounds like you got the wrong wires. They run over the valve cover.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

They do?  Man I am so confused...the motor in this truck was a 305 originally, and I was told they put in one of those goodwrench 350 motors....this engine is a dog though, I cant even break the back tires loose when I give it some gas.  Ive wondered what motor I have but I cant tell.  Would 305 plug wires be different than for a 350?

do yourself a favor and buy the ones that you cut to fit and terminate the cap end yourself....makes for a much nicer install
