np203 k10 blazer
« on: November 26, 2012, 08:31:42 am »
I found a th350 with an np203 transfer case mated forsale in my area. Is there a difference in the transfer case out of a 4x4 pickup and a k10 blazer? Mine seem to be acting goofy bouncing out of gear, and these are supposed to be ok. I'm sure this is the combo I already have, so I'm looking to just swap the pair out quick and easy. What would a decent price be to pay for this pair?

Jeff

They are the same.  You said yours was bouncing out of gear, which one transmission or transfer case ?
Both can be adjusted, you should try this first instead of just throwing another set in there.

It's got no front driveshaft in It, so I can throw it into 4 hi, I think. And it wont move for a while, then when it does it will just quit moving all together

Have you checked fluids in both ?

Reckon this spring I will change the trans fluid and filter, and change the fluid in the transfer. Hopefully that will help. I just found these at what I thought was a decent price, and mine seem to be wishy-washy. Thanks for the replies

Unless your NP 203 has been converted to part time it will not work without the front drivesahft installed.
