Engine Confusion

on my motor it is stamped as a GM 14010207 and CFD 207. anybody have any knowledge towards this. Need help on whether its a 350 or 305. i did research and the GM 14010207 states that it is a 350. but the CFD 207 states that the motor is a 305. Help?

     Where are you getting the info that says its a 305 ?

I researched the CFD 207 and it says it's a 305.

Now all I'm seeing while I'm researching is that it's a 350.

okay, if you go on nastyz28.com and click the link thing that says, QUICKLY IDENTIFY A CHEVY ENGINE CLICK HERE, and go to the suffix codes and fine CFD and it says its a 305. if i go on this sight actually, just 73-87.com and go to engine identification and find the GM 14010207 it says its a 350???

     Are both of these numbers stamped on the engine ?  Not the head, and where are you finding the numbers Exactly on the engine ?
     Behind the drivers side below the head on the block is where you should be looking.

You cannot go by the suffix code, it is a 350.  Engine casting number trumps whatever is on the machined pad.  Is the Engine code stamped there?
