Flush your brakes.  Convert the rear to disk.  Put a Hydro boost on in you don't have much vacuum.

My brakes are 100% better since doing the hydro conversion.  My new engine doesn't make a whole lot of vacuum though...

Couple things rusty more like questions to your suggestion. First about hydro boost if you loose a radiator hose you lose steering and braking right? Then about the conversion of disk good ideal but you also have to change out the proportioning valve since its set up to put 45psi to the rear but your disk will use 90psi so your not getting 100% only 50% of the stopping power to the rear. Then you might as well of stuck with the drums. Well only one question the other was a add on:)

There was a post on here about someone who blew a Rad hose and wrecked his truck because he lost steering and I think brakes due to the hydro boost. Can't find it now and I only seen one hydro boost and don't remember how it ran

I may be mistaking but my buddies blazer has hoses of the power steering to a box where the brake booster usually is

Maybe power steering but do remember he busted one hose and lost it all

Found it ;) apparently its just like a regular brake booster if it goes out. Breaks great hard as a brick but still work with more force added.
