Military in New Mexico
« on: March 18, 2014, 02:56:40 am »
Hello fellow Chevy owners. I'm military stationed in Clovis, NM. Just a little bit about my truck...It's a 1981 Chevy k10 longbed stepside nicknamed "Ol' Rooty" because of the root beer brown paint job. I bought it from an older couple in west Texas and have been trying to restore ever since. It has a 5.7l 350/465 tranny/208 tc. I'm currently working everything at the same time(true dual exhaust, 6" all suspension lift (BDS springs, pro-comp shocks, ORD hd shackles, ORD brake lines, custom cut driveshafts etc..), and 35" BFG A/T. I own 3 of these trucks, the others are a 83" short wide with a 4" lift (blue, currently has no drivetrain), and an 86' longbed fleetside (red/white, been sitting around for awhile).

I apologize ahead of time about the bad/small pics (just an idea of what I have), I'll post more when I can.

If anyone lives close by and/or interested in my build project just let me know. I know there have been many people looking to see a longbed stepside, I've been hit up about it A LOT!!

Welcome to the site from California, thank you for your service also.  You should start a build thread in members rides so we can all follow along if you haven't done one already.

Hey, lots of great places to wring out your truck around C-town. I was born and raised there, and spent a lot of time out in the weeds with my ol' '74.
