Anyone have a close guess as to what this truck will weigh roughly with the Dana 60 kingpin out of 1 ton dually. what I believe is a 1983 or 87. And the rear end too. Dana 70 hd. With the 454 added in and the 33's ?  just curious... I cannot weigh it now unfortunately. I'll have to wait awhile

So I have several updates.... I pulled the truck from the shop it was at... My mechanic/friend is just so busy he has no time to work on it anymore... So I had it towed out of there along with all the parts... He was generous enough to stay and help load and unload the truck as it barely fit onto the flatbed. Then helped load it into storage right across the street from where I'm staying which is a awesome location being so close to it. The dog house resting on the bed was set in place back where it belongs and the bed of the truck is resting where it usually should be....lol... Finally.... Still needs bolted down though and body mounts replaced before bolting it down.

The gauges are set in place where I want them, but need hooked up, holes drilled, and secured.

The fuel on the motor is 90 percent complete in being fully functional. Throttle cable needs hooked up still to the carb. I replaced the radiator with the bigger one with dual electric fans. Although, the fans need to be hooked up to a toggle switch in the cab on the dash near the gauge displaying the temp. I pulled the front diff cover and drained all the nasty old fluid and cleaned out the housing , but still needs cleaned more, then I will cap it probably tomorrow and fill it back up after using the black rtv for a gasket.

The gasket has hardened to the cover and surface area so it will be a chore getting that off with no power tools...  I will do the rear after I finish the front axle. Power steering lines are hooked up. I've got the belt on the crank waterpump and alternator pulley but need a longer belt by 2" or so...

SOOO.. I can't tighten the other belt yet.... I could but I want to square away the power steering pump. Got the correct pulley in, mounted it, and it should be good to go. Also got the shim kit installed on the crankshaft pulley to line up the belts.  I have to get new radiator hoses, they aren't the right ones,,, a lot of time has been sucked up trying different parts on this truck build....  The oil dip stick is in but just needs to have the header bolt pulled out and put through the oil dip stick bracket and tightened to be secured and good to go.

The new optima battery is in the battery tray. It needs secured... I need to find the bracket for that.  Starter needs to be set in place and bolted up then wired up. The alternator has a 4 wire connection on it and it needs to be set up to run on a two wire configuration.

The thermostat housing was finally replaced too, and it found my old radiator cap with the safety release that belonged to the old radiator, it's tight :-)  I purchased a new one and found this one before I installed the new one.

The roof of the cab on the truck is 83 and 1/2" inches lol and the door to the storage unit is 80.5" . We barely were able to get the truck in the unit. Even though is a 10x20 the truck barely fit. It was a squeeze getting it in there.... I'm so stoked to finally get this engine started! It's about dang time.... A lot of care and attention to detail and patience is still leading up to the point of firing up the motor and breaking it in.....open header style.... In the storage unit parking lot surrounded by houses lol... For 20 min the motor will run above idle. We may have to make a few carb adjustments too along the way getting it road worthy. After that we will dump the oil and put the joe Gibbs oil in it and change that oil filter and crank her up!

The front right shock still needs installed along with the steering stabilizer shock. ALL rubber bushings need replaced from bumper to bumper.  Nuts on studs on mounting plate for the u bolts needs torqued down too. Brakes will get resurfaced, I need to get that done along with full brake rebuild and bearing /seal replacement for both axles... I need to flush the fuel tank, replace the hoses from the filler neck down to the tank. The brake lines will get replaced with braided lines meant for a lifted truck..  Heater core and hoses need replaced as well. The shifter will get swapped out for a stainless steel one instead of the black one on there.. The shifter was given to me from a guy I did trades with for the radiator and oil pan. I forgot if I traded something or he gave it to me..

The radiator and fans will get painted once everything is hooked up and running... Not sure what color yet.... Black, silver, orange, or a combo of two colors...

Here are some pics, sorry I couldn't get pics of the truck in the day..... WAY TOO HEAVY to push with just a couple guys. The storage has two ledges to push the tires over... I wish I could get it in and out of the unit by myself...
