Hello from Idaho
« on: September 04, 2014, 08:41:07 pm »
Hello All. My name is Eric, and I live in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. I recently bought a 1979 K10 that my daughter promptly named King Neptune. No clue where she came up with that. But since she is my Princess, I have to keep the name. 350, th350, NP 203. Rally Wheels. No rust, 9,000 verifiable miles on the engine. I got the deal of a lifetime on this truck. I only paid $800.00. I also have a 1974 GMC Jimmy. 350, 4spd, NP203. Rally Wheels. Rust on fenders, and quarters. Had a bad rod or crank bearing when I bought it. I paid $350.00 for that. I hope to have pictures to post of these two soon. I've been watching the threads on here, and a couple of others. So far this is the only one I've joined. This one seemed to fit me better than any of the others. I'm not a total newbie to working on cars and trucks. Just haven't gotten in all that deep. So, I'm sure I'll be using your expertise as I work on these trucks. Mostly the Jimmy because the K10 is pretty much exactly how I want it. Right down to the headers, dual exhaust, and glass pack mufflers. The only thing I need to check on is whether it has the part time kit in the transfer case.
Thanks in advance for any advice and help,

Eric

Welcome Erik to the site from California.  Gotta love your children and don't try to figure how she came up with the name, just run with it.
Looking forward to some pics when you get the chance.
