4 wire brake lamp switch
« on: September 28, 2014, 09:36:20 pm »

I'm hoping for an outside view on this. I've got a 4 wire brake lamp switch. ( Orange, white, lt blue , Brown)
The Orange and white are on top side of the switch.
The lt blue and brown are on back side of the switch.
The brown wire taps into the fuse block. The lt blue wire has somehow became cut in the course of my build.
I've looked through multiple diagrams and traced wires. Cannot seem to find where the lt blue wire goes.
My brake lamps currently do not light up.the turns and hazards work just fine.

Brown/white and light blue are in the torque converter clutch (TCC) circuit.  The light blue wire passes through a firewall grommet along with a light green wire.  Both enter a two-wire in-line connector near the power brake booster then proceed to the TCC vacuum switch that is mounted near the top of the firewall adjacent to the booster.

The light blue wire is power feed to the TCC solenoid inside the transmission.  The light green wire leads to an orange connector that is a test port for monitoring switched power to TCC.
