What will I need to convert my vinyl floor to carpet?

I plan to Dynamat (or similar) at that time too.  Will I need different sill plates, or anything?

no the sill plates are the same for carpet or vinyl

Nothing is different but the covering.  Just remove the old install the new.
I recommend doing it in a warm environment to make the carpet more pliable.
