2017 Truck of the Month Calendar
« on: February 20, 2015, 11:18:32 PM »
All right ladies and gentlemen. We’re bringing back the “truck of the month”. we will use each of the winners of the “truck of the month” for the 2017 Calendar. For pictures to qualify they have to meet the criteria.

1: Each month will have a specific model truck (i.e. January = Fleet side, February = Step side and et cetera).

2: Images no smaller than 3000x2800 pixels will be accepted. Images that are resized to this size also won’t be accepted. Camera phones generally won’t produce this quality and digital cameras ideally need to be turned up to the highest resolution. Keep your surroundings in mind, pictures with people, houses and et cetera generally detract from the photo.  Trucks Centered in the photo with some border to play with is preferred.

3: “Truck of the month” TRUCKS WILL BE OF MEMBER’S TRUCKS ONLY.

4:ALL PICTURES WILL BE EMAILED TO  webmaster@73-87chevytrucks.com

We have 6 models that we will be choosing from Fleet side, Step side, Blazer, Crew Cab and Suburbans and a “Open” class. Custom trucks (lifted, slammed or body heavily modified) choose the model that your truck was originally a 12” lifted fleet side is a fleet side An extended cab is a fleet side. If we run short of vehicles in a month then we will use the custom trucks as fill-ins. Now keep in mind there are 12 months so each model will/should run twice. So if you don’t make it in on the first go around you can make it to the second or even a 3rd or 4th time. This won’t be a beauty contest so even if your truck is rusty or is worked hard like it was built to it will be eligible for the contest and calendar.

The way it works is you will have all year to submit your pictures. Then in December we will open poles to vote on the submissions that qualified. I don’t want someone to win by default (only 1 qualified truck) so in these rare cases we will open that month for the Open class trucks also. We will give the Open class trucks 1 week to submit a picture and on the 4th week the poles will open. But the Open class trucks will have to win by more than 10 votes.

If by chance you win one month that truck isn’t eligible to enter another “truck of the month”. And if you have another truck you can enter it in another contest, but it will have to win by more than 10 votes in order to win the contest for that month. If you fail to win by more than 10 votes than the runner-up will win.

Are license plates blurred or blacked out?

I need the pictures emailed to me to be considered they need to be high enough resolution as stated above.  If they don't work I will email you back.
I need at least 6 more trucks.

I prefer to let new users get in on this LTZ you were in last years.

As for the license plate I can remove it if requested, but you know this is common knowledge, anyone can see yours if you are driving around...  Not sure what the fear of seeing them is.
