AC Install
« on: April 02, 2015, 09:45:06 am »
Finally installing a new compressor (with hoses and brackets) in my 76 GMC K25 Suburban so I can have AC (much needed during summer here in AZ).

Question is: Before I begin, what are a few things you guys would recommend I replace before moving forward with flushing/charging the new system? Currently all the components for the old system are in place (with the exception of the old log compressor and hoses), which were probably all R4. The compressor I will be installing is an AC Delco R4 (pancake style).

I'm not a mechanic and have no clue if this thing has an orifice tube, but I do know all the components are there, verified with a local shop, they wanted an arm for labor just to flush/charge the dang thing.
The bottom line has dropped
