Molded dash covers
« on: January 03, 2003, 05:55:00 pm »
Hi. Question on these "molded dash covers". Im painting my interior blue. My dashpad is red. If i get a blue dash cover will it hide all the red and look like factory?

                                 thanks

                                       Ryan, Gerrardstown, WV

You talkin' about the molded carpet dash cover or the thin plastic cover that you put over your whole dash?

I think he means the thin molded plastic to repair your dash.

That thin dash cover will show a little color around the aluminum trim pieces.  There is a rectangular hole in it that fits over the trim, but there is a slight gap around the trim that would show a sliver of the dash pad.

Find a Dr. Vinyl in your area. They can repair most dashboards. They even have dye.
