Brand new here. My name is Jon and I'm from Kansas City, Missouri. I've been browsing the forum for a awhile now but didn't have a reason to join until recently. I picked up a 1978 Chevy K10 about a week ago for about $400. The front clip is pretty clean rust wise. The only issues with body are the cab corners and rocker panel but that any chevy truck really. I got it specially because of its lack of a bed. I'm gonna build a flatbed on it and make it a trail truck.

I'm also into S10 V8 swaps. I've got a 97 Sonoma that's currently down to the frame and being restored.

Welcome from Georgia Jon. Looks to be a fun project, but, being you're in Missouri and all, I might just try to grab a cleaner cab, looks a little crusty in the back on the bottom (or might just be dirty).

Have to say, hearing a 97 getting a frame up restore makes me feel way too old...

Well the frame and body on the 97 were in good shape I just wanted everything to be top notch. And there is a bit on the rear of the cab but the mounting points are solid. This isn't gonna be a show truck by any means. I'll clean the rust up a bit and just weld some sheet metal to cover it up
