custom door panels
« on: June 25, 2015, 11:08:33 pm »
Hello guys,

I'm working on the interior of my truck now and I'm debating on customizing the factory ones or buy the ones from the store. are they still available and how well do they fit? will they fall off with the slam of the door cause I see some pictures that have screws all the way around so I'm wondering if they don't want to stay properly.

thanks  8)

ok I meant like the corners, will they let loose cause they are only held on with Velcro, the picture I just add has screws to hold it into place, just wondering if that may be a problem with the Velcro letting loose and the panels start rattling.

They are not held on with "velcro" as in what holds a shoe on.  It is 3M Dual Lock fasteners.  I recommend riveting the dual lock to the door panel and to the door to hold it on as if it gets a good contact it will pull the tape off the door.

This is the Dual Lock "velcro"

ok sounds like they are pretty solid, how long does it take to get them if I order from your store? do you know who made this door panel (pictured)? It looks like a roddoors panel but heavily modified. any forums or articles that shows how its made?

Thanks

What you posted is a Rod Door panel that was built for Mike Losh's Square Peg Blazer by Chuck Bench at Stitch Interiors (now called  Automotive Professional Interiors LLC) http://www.autoprointeriors.com/
You might can find pics on his OLD FB page here, https://www.facebook.com/stitchrodtrim
Keep in mind these door panels come bare and it is about 3-4 weeks before they are shipped from the time the order is placed. (he has been faster, but that is the time he ask for)
