Camper Shell
« on: August 20, 2015, 01:20:58 pm »
Does anyone have good info regarding a camper shell for an 83 K10?  My truck has an 8 ft bed and I would like to find a modern fiberglass shell that would look good on my truck.

I've not seen any new trucks that would fit ours width wise.  Perfect is the ones originally made for our trucks but they are getting real scarce.  80-96 F series look good but are a little wider in back.  Most better name brand toppers follow the cab lines well.  I used to buy them in the fall and sell them in the spring but haven't seen any good ones in a while.  Here is the Leer brand I picked up 6 or 7 years ago.  I am always looking for a nice fiberglass cab high to replace this one.  This will do for the mean time.  It is sitting on my red project 86 at the moment but it is usually on my white 85.  It serves as a great wind break for hauling a car trailer

Thanks, I too, am always looking for a shell.  Ive seen many old metal ones but most are in poor shape and, as you say, the newer ones don't seem to fit well.
