Truck sits lower on drivers side than passenger side....???

Hey guys, new here. I'm sure this topic has been covered before. I tried to do a quick search but the search engine on this forum is a little different than others and I couldn't get anything to pull up so bear with me.

Anyway, I bought an 87 R10 short bed last year. Previous owner had already lowered it. It had a real bad lean to it so I did some digging and found out he cut the factory stock springs way down. I figured that was the problem so I  decided to lower it the right way.

Now it has DJM 2" drop coils, McGaughys 2.5" drop spindles, and DJM drop shocks, and DJM tubular upper control arms.
After all that the truck still sits about 1.25" higher on the passenger side. Rear end has a flip kit and DJM drop shocks.

Did some more research and found out it was probably bad cab/body mounts.
So I bought and replaced all cab mounts (4 on the cab and 2 core support) with Prothane poly mounts.

Truck still sits higher on passenger side by about an inch. Any thoughts?

Only thing I could come up with is either the truck has been in a wreck before and something is tweaked... or it sits a little lower because there is more weight from the full gas tank on the drivers side. Passenger side tank has been removed by previous owner for some reason. NOt sure how many gallons that tank is but I figured its probably 75-100 lbs?

Glad your all set.  I would have advised to replace all suspension with stock oem equip. and return it back to its position and height as it was off the assembly line in 1987.  Done.

If everything is in good working order and the springs are new keep in mind the will settle differently.  If it is bugging you go measure new cars that have been sitting on the lot, they won't be the same either..
If it really bothers you swap sides and see if it is the springs.

I would agree with the capt.  But if your a little ocd like me, i would start replacing stuff and then use a micrometer untill it was even.

You will be fighting this forever if you want them to be the same.  Bushing and springs settle.  Generally one side will be heavier than the other, (drivers side with the driver in it).
How far do you want to go?  With you sitting in it over and over again eventually it will settle more and then what.  1" is pretty good in my opinion.  I think if you measured mine it was 3/4" off after I lowered it.

then you also have the gas tank at about 6lbs a gal you could have 120 lbs on one side

Good thing my tank is on the opposite!   Every thing must be perfect symetrical and even.    If something isnt even, i just bend, cut, weld and fabricate until it is.

Mine has the same issue. New springs, bushings, cab mounts, etc. I've only got one 16 gallon tank and it's on the drivers side so I equated it to that. Thought about doing a blazer tank swap but haven't decided how I would run the filler tube.
