Is this molding original? (See pics)

1987 GMC and I don't believe this is original for the year. Isn't this style 1989+?

Yes, that is the style that was used on the new body style 88-98 trucks. 91-93 S-10s used it also. Plus not to mention that GM also used that same trim on 89-91 square body Blazers and Suburbans. The factory style trim on 81-87 trucks was either all black with thin crome stripes on top and bottom on the Scottsdale trim, or smooth chrome with black stripes on top and bottom on Silverado and Sierra Classic trim.
