HELP PLEASE.
« on: January 30, 2016, 12:29:26 pm »
I recently lowered my 86 Silverado SWB. i used 3' DJM drop spindles and 2" lowering coils. along with Nitro Drop Shocks 2. Also did a flip kit for the rear. my question is after i installed the rear flip kit my rear end is cocked... the driver side rear tire is closer to the outside of the fender than the passenger side. I do not see what i did wrong or how this even happened? This is my 4th 73-87 c10 ive done and this is the first time this has happened. any help would be greatly appreciated. i also had to get my driveshaft shortened because it changed the geometry that much. again, that was a first time i had to do that also.

Any suggestions????

thanks.

how much closer is it?

my first thought is the bed is messed up. maybe body work from years ago. same thing happened to my beater civic. when i dropped it down one tire was touching the rear fender lip and the other wasnt. so i looked closer and come to find out that entire quarter panel was replaced

did you put the springs in the same direction?

Everything was even and pretty much spot on before lowered it. I'm not talking about the tire being to close to the top of the fender... I'm saying if you were to grab both tires at once and had the strength to move the rear end then the driver side rear is pushed forward. And when I look at the leafs the driver side are tweeted. Ride height itself is almost perfect. Driver side is a 1/4" higher than the passenger side.  But when you are standing behind the truck and you look at the rear tires, you can clearly see the driver side is more forward than the passenger side.

I sure did. I know it's something simple. And obviously something I did. But I don't see how it happened.

The holes are offset. I was guessing that too. I'm about to head to the garage and take pics. I will post them in a bit.
