Does anyone have best way to go about what to use for sealing the brass plugs to the intake manifolds? Which is the best > teflon tape or some type of sealant or high temp silicone.

For general sealing of 1/2" and smaller pipe threads apply two full wraps of white PTFE tape in the direction of thread tightening followed by a smear of good quality PTFE paste sealer.
