Hey guys I'm new to the forum, actually this is my first post lol. Anyway I'll get right to it, I have a 1977 Scottsdale 4wd stepside. The cab was rusted way beyond repair so I got a donor cab from a local junkyard in great shape for 400$! It is a 1983 Chevrolet scottsdale cab. I'm going to send the cab to my local body shop to have the body work done in a couple of weeks. I want to make the truck as close to the 1977 style as possible like I'm converting the front clip to the 1977. The 1977 cab I have was factory no a/c and the dash had no vents and this is the way I want the 83 cab to be. I already removed the hvac box from the firewall and I need to know what to do to cover the opening that exposes the vent door and I want to know if the dash pad and Guage cluster will from the 1977 will work on the 83 cab I will be using the wiring harness from the 1977 as well. Sorry if this is long and I hope it makes sense lol this will be my first restoration I'm 21 years old and my uncle gave me this truck,he bought it new and he has recently passed away and I want to fix it up like it was when he bought it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
