My 1979 Bonanza project
« on: July 13, 2016, 05:49:23 pm »
I have posted many of these pics in various threads since I started the project last January.  But now since I am almost done wrapping it up I thought I'd put them all in one spot.  So here's a long post with a lot of pics.

My goal was to do this on-the-cheap as much as possible.  The only big expense was adding a 100% brand new A/C.  My Buddy helped me install it, and the $950 cost was well worth it!

Also did a lot of refurbishing, like new brakes, calipers, wheel bearings, brake lines, rebuilt steering column to get rid of wobble,

Here it is the day I bought it last January.

Tinted the windows and added a Chevy graphic in tint.

pretty sweat, how did you wire the aux? also the melted abs pellets is a sharp idea, could you possibly go back and heat it with a heat gun and press a piece of braided fabric against it to give it the texture of the original corner?

Here is my thread on the Stereo, but it actually points to the thread where I found out how to do it.

Here is my thread on ABS plastic repair.  never tried to add a grain to the ABS but I bet you could.  The ABS "glue" melts into the old panel and ends up stronger than before.
