i was always told that you need a special carb for a turbo. what did you have to do and how much boost you making? any ideas on the power or strip time?

I built it for blowthrough, if you google hangar18 blowthrough there's a great how to on it. 14psi is my current tune up. No idea on strip times or horsepower, but it will DESTROY 35 in tires from a dead stop in 3rd if I wing it up a few times and get the turbo spinning. Mostly it's just a lot if fun to drive around in making turbo noises.

It's not really too bad to do. The basics are swap to nitrophyl floats since boost will crush and sink brass ones, .130 needles and seats, JB weld the choke rod hole, and drill out the power valve channel restrictors. I've gone a little farther with mine making the power valve actuate from turbine pressure rather than an absence of vacum, but that's just for drive ability.

No idea on EGT's, I shoot for about 11.5-12:1 under boost. Cruise runs about 15:1. The truck gets about 13mpg as long as I keep my foot out of it, and it drives like a stocker.
