TH700 Torque Converter Lock-up
« on: October 13, 2016, 03:47:25 pm »
Were can I look to figure out how the torque converter lockup worked, from the factory, in the truck in my signature?  I am trying to understand how it is wired and how it is supposed to work when the truck left the factory specifically.    I realize this has been discussed at length all over the internet and I have done the searches, multiple times.  My problem is I am not very experienced and I do not know for sure if what I am reading is correct or actually applies to my truck.  There is no reason for anyone to re-write what has already been written thousands of times, I just need to know where to look and that what I am looking at actually applies to my truck in stock form.

Thanks for the help, it is appreciated,
Thanks,

Anthony

Refer to the 1987 Repair Manual pages 7A-2, 7A-13 and 7A-52 through 7A-62 for TCC overview, diagnosis and chassis specific wiring, respectively.

Refer to the 1987 Unit Repair Manual for 700R-4 detailed repair and overhaul procedures.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
