any one on here deal with custom RC cars?
« on: October 26, 2016, 12:37:53 am »
well last year i got my boy a new bright grave digger truck. i read the directions and they say
RULE NUMBER 1 dont drive in sand
RULE NUMBER 2 dont drive in water
RULE NUMBER 3 dont drive in sun
RULE NUMBER 4 dont drive in the snow
RULE NUMBER 5 dont drive this big monster truck anywhere but inside your house or it will break

this thing is 1:8 scale, well on a nice day we would take it out for a little i paid 90ish for it. didnt take long till the sound quits working then the lights now the whole thing.

i think its just a problem with the receiver or maybe the transmitter but im blind when it comes to these rc things. i want to keep the servos that it has and buy a cheap receiver/transmitter for it. the transmitter has two sticks both for throttle left and right its 4wd so the right wheels are tied together and the left are too. so it should be pretty simple to figure out the transmitter and reciever then just wire it up and be done. but i have no idea what im doing and lets say i get this set

how would i connect my servos to it. is there a connection that i can buy?

IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW NEW BRIGHT RC CARS ARE JUNK. i got one a few years ago (smaller and only $25) and i thought the kid broke it somehow. but i know this one didnt get abused and didnt get wet or anything, they just suck

IMHO, find a hobby store, tell them your on a budget and they should be able set you up with a few options to try and get it going. If they try to sell you a truck they're not worth it and walk out, a good store should be able to set you up with minimal stuff
