Hi All,
I'm new to posting but have been lurking around this site for some time now. I recently bought a stock '87 c10 short bed GMC. I'm not planning on any off-roading or anything like that or i would have bought a 4wd. Mostly just interested in a little bit more "full" look with some bigger tires and maybe a mild lift.
From what I've gathered, there is no existing suspension lift kit for the 73-87 2wd trucks. I'm not interested in a body lift, so that's out. Based on some forums I've read on here and on GMC squarebody, it looks like I can possibly go with 3/4 ton or 1 ton springs in the front and lift blocks in the back. That should get her up about 1.5-2" or so (again based on what I've read)
2 questions:
1. has anyone done this with any success (or failures). any pictures?
2. I cant seem to find a complete parts list for this kind of work. Is it literally just as simple as a couple blocks and a set of springs or are there control arms, ball joints, spindles etc needed also?
thanks in advance! I'm really looking forward to getting this truck looking purrrrrty!!
