Molding removal....

How do you remove the nasty looking molding that is underneath the back glass???

I'm sure it simple, but I'm brain dead in here trying to the of it...

Tyhe end moldings are held in place with nuts inside the cab. The back strip snaps over nylon clips that hang on welded studs.

yea.... I got out and got it takin off today... Pain in the arse to tkae those nust off...  But thanks for the help anyway...

jseifert, I hope you took a bit of care when you removed your molding. Classic Industries want over $100 each for the corner pieces..

Yea, the corner pieces I took good care of. The long piece underneath the window however.. well it looks like a pretzel now....

I am just going to save mine until I find someone that would need them... The local junk yard was only going to give 10 bucks... for both of them...

I came back to this post because I was going ot ask you if you wanted to sell the center part as I have a budy that needs it for his truck.
How did it end up like a pretzel? They come off real easy!

Well.... I ended up taking it all off before anybody replied to this post.... I thought that the center piecee was like the molding running down the side of the truck.... So I tried to peel it off, no realizing that there were clips holding it on... The reason it looks like a pretzel now, is because after slicing my finger open (since the clip held it in place, while my hands kept pulling) I was pretty aggrivated... You are welcome to the corner pieces though....

I have the corner pieces, allready sold them to him. The center piece that went with them had been smashed beyond recognition by years of and old duffer tossing his cord wood into the truck to get it home! By the looks of under and behind the seat he probably smashed several windows out as well. He had a head board but it was just the uprights no screen, so the corner peices didnt get demolished.
