C- notch?

So I'm dropping the rear down on a C20, I've though about just going spring under but I'm not sure how far that will drop me and if it'll be far enough that I need to add a C notch. Anyone gone spring under and have some info?

I flipped my C10. In my opinion (and I don't know if the C20 frame rails are taller or not), the frame doesn't need to be notched, because the pumpkin will hit the bed floor before the axle tubes will hit the frame.

I ran a flip with adjustable shackles without notching but if you want to go any lower you will need to.
