Personally, I'd go with the E-brock. I've had quite a few Holleys, and was never happy with them. The Edelbrock is a lot more user friendly. The only problem I've had with the E-brock is if you ever take the truck out on extreme angles they have a tendency to load up.

Be very careful with carb size.If its too large,it will bog when you step on the gas hard.

You could google edelbrock to find a tech line phone # maybe and talk to someone there. Worth a shot.

looks like it will be ok. edelbrock says the 500 is good from 225 through 327 cubic inches. i think i'll go with the edelbrock 500.

I dropped a 750 holley on my last 350 and it bogged .Ran OK on the 455. That 383 stroker must haul a@@ real good.

I've got the 750 e-brock on my 350, Used to bog REAL bad. Then I did the cam change, then redid the cam change and installed a rebuilt set of old double hump 2.02 heads and 1.6 rockers. I had to jet up after break in. The truck went from getting 10 MPG to about 8MPG. Really sucks that I'm getting big block economy out of a small block. Oh yeah, the 3.73 gears probably aren't helping matters any.

Oh, she hauls alright. I just wish there were no speed limits. I wish I could take it to Germany's autobahn.
I have the 3:08 rear and it does real well on the interstate...the faster i take it, the happier she is. It is an awesome feeling to go about 80 mph and punch it....she still has so much left in her (I can't tell how fast I actually had it once on I-95--let's just say hitting the three digit mark was nothing-nothing at all--it's unfortunate the speedo buries so easily). The sports car drivers look puzzled when I pass them at those speeds.
I have the 1.6 rockers and an RV type cam. She sounds awesome when idling.
Oh, man, I get carried away...this isn't my topic, sorry.

Wouldn't that be awesome...going code 3 and thru the speaker,: "Uncle Pen played the fiddle, Lord how it would ring. You could hear it talk, you could hear it sing"
Going to a big bluegrass festival here next month, cant wait. Gonna take the
Blue Burb
though.
