Got my interior back together, perhaps a few tweaks and my radio knobs I had just thought about (I have them). The passenger side mirror was a little stubborn to align the bottom bolt. Might drive it to the exhaust shop in the morning.Would be the first time on the road since it got torn apart.

I fully completed my exhaust system! It is stainless steel and has been stainless steel welded throughout except for the straight though mufflers (they do have some baffles inside - Does not seem like it though) and where they bolt up to the headers. It is a little loud and sounds like a stock car. It also has a great deal more power than I had expected. I could melt the tires if desired and I can feel the torque every time I accelerate. My wife is not crazy about how loud it is and I get an audience when people hear it. The attention can be good and bad. Hope the police don't get interested.

Got my first road test of my truck. Short ride! Still have some tuning to do yet and some other things to get it where I want it.

Once I get it where I want it, I may try to quiet it down a bit. It is a little louder than I care for as well. Draws too much attention! It it fun to drive and I have thought about getting another transmission for it. I like the standard transmission and would not mind getting one that would easily swap out with the CH465 that would be a good match with my engine and transfer case NP205, plus good for the highway and towing when needed.

Was going to make an entry under transmissions and drivetrains. However, since I cannot access it I decided the next best place might be this build thread. I have been thinking about swapping out my CH465 trans with something more suitable.

I looked at the Tremec 5 speed 4050 transmission 600 lb-ft torque, Max RPM 5500, 23 spline output and would be interested in any feedback or suggestions since I am not fully confident and am a little worried about a huge job making a new one fit.

Is the NV4500 a direct fit to replace the CH465? I like my off road truck, but it is nice to drive on the highway without the higher RPMs when driving 70+.

PS: Was thinking I will drive it a bit before I decide to change out my CH465 to make sure it is a wise decision.

Got the insulation cover from a junk yard catalytic converter and used it to cover my fuel lines from the exhaust pipes. My brake lines got wrapped with insulation covering. A couple of picks of the stainless hangers I used for my exhaust system.

I bought a kit with assorted jets and will tune the carb. It is running rich.

Thanks Shifty, I do not get much time to work on it as of late. I spend most of my time taking care of my wife. Still have some things to do on my truck. However, it does run strong and is fun to drive when I can. My tires have some tread for now. However, I want to replace them with 33.50s (used to have them a while back on my truck) after they get worn out.

Went on a 35 Mile drive today to check out the truck. I have not been driving it much or working on it, stay too busy taking care of my sick wife. The truck runs good, yet this was the first time in about 6-7 years that it has been on an interstate. The 383 Stroker has too much power to be used with he SM465 transmission. Down the road sometime, I would like to install a manual trans with overdrive gears.

All electrical works, even the cigarette lighter to plug in accessaries (I don't smoke). The fuel transfer with worked as well and all lights. The steering was not as tight as I would like, yet not real bad. I am thinking about taking it to get a dyno test/tuning done sometime in the future. Thanks for the input and help on my project.

I bought a trailer for the truck to haul when needed and a 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty to pull it when desired. My truck is a bit dirty in the picture.
