Headers
« on: June 30, 2021, 06:48:10 PM »
Found some headers for my 87 Chevy. Was 2x4 but a few years ago 4x4 was added. The headers say for C model and all sorts of other Chevy vehicles. Doesn’t specify K model and my dad says that’s what mines considered now. Most the truck is older as it’s been changed out with a lotta different parts. We’re about to put a 355 in it and restore a lot of it. Will they work???

The K10 is a 4x4 4wd and the c10 is 2wd. If you have a 4wd K10 the picture indicates they will not fit. I would recommend buying headers locally so you can take them back if they don't fit vs having to try and mail them back. You also need to check on return policies, some places will not let you return headers. Also, buying headers via online could result in getting headers in poor condition either from rough shipping or from getting a set that was returned.

Also be aware that in 87, the 4wd was a "V" series, not a "K", this may affect some header companies listings.

Check with Hedman to see if they list a model for K or V.

I know I've posted this before, but these ebay specials are basically the same header and fit with one small clearance spot of about a 1/4" where the O2 bung is.
