Help with C10 Short Box Front Tire Size
« on: May 21, 2026, 02:35:49 pm »
Hi everyone, I’ve got a 1980 Chevy C10 short box 2wd. I’ve had it for over 20 years and this will be the first time putting front tires on it. It’s at stock ride height for now and I’m running the 8” stock steel rallye wheels. I’ve got a good set of 275/60 bfg radial ta’s on the back. I’m looking for advice on what front tire size would best compliment those rears and give the truck the best look. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

If you like the way the rear looks, I would just run the same tire size on the front.  That is what I ran when I had 15's

Yes I do think the rears look good. I guess I wasn’t sure if I should go with a slightly smaller tire up front or not. I like the look of a smaller tire on cars like novas and chevelles but not sure about that look for the square body. So the bigger meats look good up front? Any tire rubbing issues? Would you happen to have a photo of what that looked like?
Thanks
