update,
the tranny is finally back from the shop.  its a worked 700r4.  I finally put it in, made a few adjustments and replaced 2 malfunctioning sensors, and WOW!  she moves.  with the 2:73 rear it will still do burnouts and readily chirp  the rear tires in the 1-2 shift.  I haven't had it out in the freeway yet due to the TV cable not being adjusted properly.  good enough to work but not quite right.  I have to get a 93 lt1 throttle body
with the properly located TV cable attachment.

Hey man,
Im in the process of putting an lt-1 into my 86 shorty. I have a couple of throttle brackets for an lt-1. Mine is a 93 model vette engine, with trans-am brackets and accesorries.

Also, i decided to use Lokar cables for the throttle, and for the kickdown cable also. With the Lokar cable bracket and both cables it cost about 200 bones. Plus..... the stainless cables are SWEET!!!!
