headlight plugs?

Replaced the single round headlights on my 78 Silverado and found the 3 prong connectors in pretty bad shape. Went to buy new ones and everybody's replacements only have 3 wires where mine has 6 on drivers side ( 2 black, 2 green, 2 brown ) and passenger has 4 wires ( 2 black, 1 green, 1 brown). Looked in Haynes manual and it shows 6 on drivers side and 4 on passenger. Whats the deal?
Why do all the replacements only have 3 single wires?
Anybody dealt with this one? Thanks.

You have to cut and solder in the new pigtail.

Get a pair from a salvage yard and splice the wires.

Your wires are joined together in the connector. The replacements just require you to join them such as...your source wires, pigtail, wires that lead to the other side, all in one union. Its the same thing, Just a different form.

i just use crimp on spades

weather plastic shielded ones

but each to their own i guess
