I just joined the group and thought that I would introduce myself. My name is John and I am 39, live in Lebanon, Ohio am married and have 2 daughters. I am an engineer in the Smiconductor Industry and I enjoy wrenching on the trucks and cars in my spare time. I recently bought a '77 Black 4WD SB Stepside like one that I had 20 years ago, except this one has the bed from a '90 Stepside. Other bowtie trucks include a '96 Extended Cab Black 4x4, '72 Suburban and a '73 BB Crew Cab. We also have a '57 Pontiac Chieftain with a 455 and a pair of 4-Speed '69 Grand Prixs. I am learning a lot by reading the boards here. There is an impressive knowledge base here that I plan on tapping into!

Howdy. I just bought an 18 GMC Sierra 4x4, started looking around the net for info, found this site, and joined. I describe my truck as a "bowtie Jimmy" since it has a Chevy grill. I've heard of them coming off the assembly line that way, but don't knew but that someone swapped grills somewhere along the way.
My name is Wendell, I'm 56, I live in Carson City, Nevada, I'm married, have two cats, and root for the University of Oklahoma where I went to school. Presently I'm a librarian. I thought that would be a good job to have while trying to figure out what to do when I grow up. Previously I've been a horseshoer, a log truck driver, a cowboy, a wheat cutter, an oil field worker, a radio announcer, and only IRS knows what else.
This is my third GM truck. Previously I've owned a '36 and a '65 Chevies. The truck is in pretty good shape, but there are a few things I want to do to it so you'll no doubt see me asking questions.

Hey! My name is Robert. I've been posting on the CT & Classic Chevy boards for awhile. I live in central Oklahoma with my wife and 5 yo daughter. I drive an 87 SWB Silverado with a 350 TBI and a 700R4 tranny. It's my daily driver and getting close to rolling over 200,000 miles. It's mostly stock with a few minor upgrades. Anyway, just say "hey".

My name is Dave. I am engaged. No kids. I am currently a Marine stationed aboard Camp Lejeune North Carolina. Currently I have 2 GM 1 ton Crew Cab Duallies. 1 is a 77, and the other is a 86. I also have an 84 Chevy 3/4 ton 4wd diesel truck that I plan on gutting for all parts for my other projects. Besides my hobby of working on GM Pickups with other friends, I am into: weightlifting, playing on my computer, reading automotive technical books and manuals, going on long vehicle recovery adventures, my fiance of 2 years, and many other hobbies. I use MSN messenger. I would like to link up with others of the same vehicle intrests. My hotmail address and MSN screename is: Davidus2001@hotmail.com

Well I am also new to this site so I will give a quick run down about myself. I am 33, live in Safford, AZ., married, 2 girls and I am always offroading one way or another. I just bought a 79 chevy, shortbed 4x4 with a 6" lift and a 383. This is my second chevy p/u but I have never been to mechanically inclined. That just means I will be on here often picking everyones brain. I am usually out on the quads or in the sandrail and enjoy them a bunch. But I needed a truck to hall everything and wanted one that I can still crawl under the hood and work on. See ya all around

hey all,
my name is ken, and i am a confirmed mod-aholic. oops, wrong
forum. i live and work in the phoenix area. for work i am an
accounts receivable manager for a local tire & wheel whole-
saler. my 4 wheels of choice for the last 10 years is a 1974 3/4 ton chevrolet pick up. it is a custom deluxe, and like my user name implies, it has a 454 engine and turbo 400 transmission. it is not perfect by any stretch, but i get a lot of positive feed back. we go to local shows and cruises, like the pavillions in scottsdale with it. judging by some of the other replies, i'm a motorcycle addict as well. current weapon of choice: 2002 Kawasaki ZRX1200.
i took a couple pictures last weekend, when i pick them up ( no digital camera, so i have them put on a disk) i'll post one. i appreciate automobiles as well, but i have not owned one since my last camaro, almost 18 years ago!
see you on the road.

Name's DeeAnn, the only girl I've seen on this site so far. Have a '78 1/2 ton Big 10 w/454bb, T400 tranny, and Edelbrock 750cfm carb. Wanted one for years and finally got it. If you read my other post, you already know that my pride and joy was all but ruined in two back-to-back hurricanes over a year ago. Now I spend my free time (and lots of hard-earned money) putting my truck back together and learning as I go along. Never worked on cars before. Dad never did and husband doesn't, so I'm on my own.
Other than my truck, I'm an Aggie, taught for a few years, now going back for Master's in Architecture--go figure! No kids, but love my pets as much as most love their children.
If you get a chance, read about my truck troubles on the other message I posted and let me know if you have any ideas. I'm completely out, as are most people I've talked to about the truck. Glad to know I've got a new resource here.
