Thanks guys,
i got a call from my powdercoater today letting me know my dash and the rest of my parts are done.Friday i`m gonna pick them up and drop off this rollpan to him and have him do all the welding since he has a tig welder and is a certified welder and weld up the lights. He told me if you powdercoat the parts you can scuff the powdercoat up and apply filler on top w/o a problem.I got some areas on the metal dash that need attention and since he welded up some of the holes i need to fix the areas.Since the truck is going iris blue i want the hinges to make the color break out a bit rather then be washed in and look just to plain.I`ll take some pics of the parts friday..
thanks
pat

Tomorrow i`ll have some more pics of the parts.I`m going to have my rear leafs powdercoated as well. I figured i already got the u bolts and the plates done and waiting may as well go ahead and have them done so when i get home from work i`ll jack the truck up and undo the leafs and have him do the rollpan and that`ll be it for a while till i get the bodywork done. I`m gonna get the floor coated and get the dash clamped in place so i can reweld it this weekend. Then hopefully my corvette seats will be in next week so i can mock them up as well.

thanks
pat

Whats happening everyone?
I got a few pics taken as of last night but none as of today.I got my floor all sanded and herculined last night and i welded the dash in today.I also installed the rear U bolts and plates as well. Here is some pics of the powercoated parts i got back yesterday and i even went as far as having the ashtray powdercoated lol.....My powdercoater is doing the rollpan right now welding the light housings in.I`m gonna give him my radiator core support and that should be it for the time being.Once i get back from ocean city maryland and my vacation i`m gonna get the doors and the fenders and hood all done and in primer as well as the cab and possibly jamb all the areas like the firewall and the doors and interior and under the hood in paint. Then pull the motor out of the corner, tear it down, paint it, paint the tranny and install them..HOPEFULLY.  ;D

thanks
pat

p.s. with the dash in it finally looks like a truck once again....

I`m in from MORE  body filler sanding.I thought i was done but eh i went a extra mile to do more of the spot welds.Along the bottom where there are small valleys for when water gets built up in the channel it drains out of these weep holes.Along the bottom were more spot welds i filled in and left the valleys and weep holes clean and free of anything. But If you liked them pics check these out..

I am wiped its time for a shower
thanks
pat

p.s. the last pic was when the powdercoater welded up the holes and did a crappy job so i had to sand the powdercoat and do some body work to them Although it will be painted the color of the truck he said it can be sanded so i can apply the color of what the truck is going to be but i tried to have him mask it but again to lazy and the 1st pic i tried to brighten it but not working sorry people . I also used what was left of my dupli color bed coating in a can to do the steering column support.. Today i`m just gonna bolt up the pieces that hold the column support to the dash that i got powdercoated as well and call it a day n work in the yard... ::)

That looks good. One questino how thick of the herculiner did you use on the floor. 1 coat or 2? Cause I am thinking about doing that with mine as well I just don't know how thick I should really go with it.

I used 2 coats on the top and the bottom.I basically used up a whole gallon cause i had a quart left over and thats all i got left from coating the floor.I am going to coat the inner fenders on the outside and the rear stepside fenders on the inside  once there in primer and ready for paint with another kit. This stuff works great but make sure everything is sanded with 120 or coarser and prep and apply. The supply a green scotch brite pad, i da`d the floor top and bottom.Once the truck is painted i`m gonna lay down some dynamat and inside the doors.I highly doubt i`ll get much accomplished done next weekend as i got a plane to prep at work just before my vacation. But in ocean city Maryland where i`m going to a car show i may spend like 1700 for a set of wheels.

thanks
pat

Any reason why the Dynamat may not adhere well to that coating?  Just asking.

Looks great man!
