here's whats in store for my truck and were going to unveil it at heatwave!!!
-frame, suspension, powertrain:
strip down to frame
replace all body and suspension bushings
cleand up and powdercoat frame and all suspension
polish the tranny
clean up the motor and paint it to match the truck
rear disk conversion
custom front crossmember
body:
89-91 quad suburban headlights w/ billet grill
shave everything and flush in the tail lights
1 piece windows
flush bed cover
rhyno line the bed
custom two toned paint
custom front fenderwells
all new weather stripping and seals
interior:
full custom dash, waterfall wrap around console and door panels

he says it will be a sema quality truck... it will have the airride and wheels already so he said it wouldn be too much in price... now before i spill the beans on how much he is chargin me i want to know how much you would estimate this build to cost

Sounds like the recipe for a nice cover/ feature truck.
As far as the price - remember you cant take it with you and you only live once,
so I say go for it while you can.
Now what would be real nice is uploaded digital photos along the build progress.
I am sure we will all be waiting for the next post.

he said 15-17k which was a nice supprise to me, i was expectin 20-25k oh and we also decided to do a bodydrop as well to give it a cleaner look. we are going to keep the interior as simple as possible having a smooth classic look and we may ditch the a/c to clean up the look under the hood since it wont be a daily driver... not to mention it will cost me quite a bit less. i'd give anything to just be able to do it now but i really dont wanna take a loan out to do it

well i'll be helping on the build, but i know squat about paint and body and thats gonna be around 10k of it right there, but things like wiring and drivetrain and mechanics and some fabricating i can do but its alot easier w/ more hands... we talked more yesterday and he said that if i'm goin to be helping alot and doing alot of work then its going to cut back on the cost a bunch.... i dont know if i can wait till spring... i would give anything to dive right into it right now but i have a long way to go $ wise

I would have guessed 20 to 25 as well. I would double the E.T.A. to be safe (projects always go over budget and over time), and if things really start going south don't be afraid to pull the project! Good Luck!
