14Bolt Pinion Seal?
« on: September 27, 2007, 12:08:56 am »
Hey guys.  Has anyone done a pinion seal on a 14B Full floater?  The books are pretty vague...  Any advice?

Thanks a ton.

yes, index the pinion nut, flange, and shaft before removing it so the nut isn't overtightened.

okie dokie.  So mark where everything lines up, Impact the nut off, bang flange off, pop old seal out, that insert new one, and tighten till marks line up?

Oh, and almost forgot that you might find that a strategic curse will help take the nut off.  Usually works for me.
