I'm working on a '76 C-20 pickup, and now I have (somehow) lost my cowl tag! How do I get a new one?

There isn't a cowl tag on 73-87 pickups.  The VIN tag is located in the door pillar on the drivers side below the stricker.  If you have lost it, you will have to have the local DMV assign a new one.

Yes, the VIN tag should be on the door post for a '76, but they started putting it on the dash in the early 80's.

I guess I should have specified that for others reading it.  All 1973-1978 trucks had the VIN plate on the door pillar.  1979-up had it on the dash.
