Im not sure what I need for belts for my truck. There starting to squeek and wine. I have a 73 c/20 454 auto trans, ac. I looked on rockauto and they had over 6 different belts.
Can anyone turn me to the correct belts. I would like to replace them all.

Just pull the ones you have off and take them to the store and get ones to match. Generally they have numbers on them.

and as you can see from the prices on rockauto- the Gates belts are cheaper but still excellent quality.

Gates belts made in Mexico stretch more than the ones made in the USA. Just something I noticed while getting my ac working a few years ago.

Your lights might be brighter because the alternator is being spun more since the new belt is tighter.

I realize that, but also when I hit the dimmer switch for my brights my lights die.

Hmm might be a wiring problem, though I'm not positive on that. I'd say try a new switch and if that doesn't work, then check the wiring from the switch to the lights.

Ya, Im thinking its the switch because the brights just stopped working tonight. And my lights have been acting up lately. My gauge lites have been getting dim and then bright...
And the batter and alternator have been checked and are fine. So Im hoping that its just the dimmer switch.
