Update:
Well it was a success..... I finally have a drivers side window that I can actually use..... Oh and now my truck has a little "corvette" in her.... My father in law gave me the window motor from his 86 corvette that he sold but it's an exact fit..... and the window goes up nice and fast too

It was a struggle at some points but I got it all figured out..... A few words of advice for newbies... as I was on this project:
1) When you finally get everything out please make sure you drill a hole through the regulator and bracket so when you remove the motor the preloaded spring won't move... I did this and beleive me I can see how it could have been an issue.
2) Also on the way back in... place the motor/regulator assembly in the door but do not bolt it up.... at this point you need to wiggle the window itself back in and line it up in the tracks and then bolt the regulator back to the door.... I tried to first bolt up the regulator to the door and then wiggle the window in...... but after an hour there was no way I could get the everything in.... BUT after i unbolted the regulator from the door I was able to finesse everything in
3) Once everything is in crack open your favorite beverage of choice and enjoy

Thanks for all the help here that I read BEFORE i tried this....... now onto the passengers side..... It's a slow up and down so I figured I would replace it before it goes....
Thanks
Mike
