Gas Gage Troubles 1987 P30 Motorhome
« on: November 19, 2007, 11:38:01 am »
On my 87 P30 motorhome chassis the gas gage is always on full. I have put in a new tank sending unit and checked the wire from the tank to the gage and it seems OK. What is my next step to solving this problem?

Did you check the ground from the sending unit to the frame?

If it reads full, you don't have a good ground.  Pull the wire on the sending unit, turn on the key and ground the wire.
If that works recheck the ground to the sending unit.  If you know the ground it good I would suggest the gauge.
