I just trashed a bunch but I'll check in my closet at work. I have an extra 88-91 radiator support if you want it.

just read through 22 pages of build... I was hoping to see it completed at the end of all that!  You're doing a great job and have taken on some HUGE projects on this truck.  You look at things kinda like I do... while most people are happy with whatever they can buy out of the catalog, people like you and I are scratching our heads and solving problems.

You've got a great place to work, and access to a lot nicer equipment (and apparently a bigger budget) than I do LOL

Keep up the good work!  subscribing so I can follow your progress :)

It's not always about budget and you can tell by the dan's build it's more about dedication and determination over $dollars$ the dan definitley has acces to some cool stuff and this build is defiitley a one of a kind to be proud of.

I Appreciate the kind words guys!. I do have access to some crazy machines but i weigh my ussage of work materials and machinery on my paycheck. i got offers for a little ligher money for other places but wouldnt get back what my boss leaves open for me. keeps me staying around for now.
And i always lived by "if you can afford the tool buy it, dont borrow it" because then you'll always have it at your conveniance.

Cody c10 kid, as for the valve cover issue.. that was way back in the day, we are on LS motors now haha. as well as those adapters will not allow a full roller rocker

Timberwoldfxdl- i like doing things that some may have done but most dont.  Anyone can go get a porterbuilt dropmember for the from of their c10 and use tubular A-arms... but that raises the center of mass of the truck, making handling worse. so instead of any sort of sacrifice, research and develope your own stuff and things can come around in a way you never thought of.

Thanks vile, i have two of those radiator supports and grille/headlight combos as well (look kinda like the 90's set up) but i like the 83-87 better.

Did i ever invision where i am now? no. when i first had the truck i just wanted a fast standard transmission old squarebody. The C5 front was a dream i talked to my uncle about 2 christmas's ago and sometimes things just fall into place.

Vermonster 4x4 mudbog in Vermont is next weekend and we are cracking down (kinda like Overhaulin') on a roll cage for an enormous quadcab 70 something f350, so my bender hasnt been around to play with the chevy, but soon enough

Fantastic work, I can't wait for the finished product!  I'm curious though, you've got an LS engine in there but it looks like you've got a carb on it.  How come?  I've got a 5.3 (fuel injected) in my C10 and I couldn't imagine switching to a carb, it feels like a step backwards to me.  Regrdless, keep up the good work!

nucknoel89, carb is just cosmetic for pictures, im using an square bore fuel injection intake though so it mimics a carb. i dont like how LS intakes look, or the LQ's so im doing it this way, plus my roll cage crosses the front of the engine so having the throttle body there wouldnt be the best plan of attack.

i would never make an Ls carb either. their FI is such a great unit.

i ended up having to reroute the belt again because the crank only had 1/4 belt on the pully, so i machined a mount using the C5 ac tensioner and stock idler pully (wider) so i could run the tensioner on a straight section of belt

he may have a line on Z06 front breaks for me too,

updates as they come![/QUOTE]

batter tray is done, not that i needed to do it now but i couldnt get in my brothers way with making the A pillars

bumper mounts  as well as where the rollcage will end

rear main hoop, tightest cage ive withnessed

there wasnt enough crank-belt contact so i rerouted the belt and used a C5 AC tensioner and regular LS pully to make it work

This is a rough photoshop of the ZR1 wheels that i may end up running, the steelies arnt allowing me to steer at all and flaring the fenders isnt an easy task to make it look good.
