hey guys, i'm sure you've covered it, but, I did a search and can't find anything.  does anyone have any info on manuals for these trucks?  I have an '83 k10 4wd, but it has a 79 350 in it from the previous owner.  being the amateur mechanic, it would be great to have some manuals/diagrams/helpful hints/etc to assist me while i'm repairing the critter.  any info is greatly appreciated.  where to buy something, what to buy, etc.  thanks.  mike

Your best bet is Always the factory service manual. Look on eBay. If you can't find a decent priced 1983 C K manual any 81-87 manual will be nearly the same.

The avatar? That's my 1974 GMC... I've done a LOT to it lol...just look around some of the threads like the truck pic thread and you'll see some great machines here!

oh man, some great pics.  hey, it looks like your wheel base is the same from front to back, width wise, did you put wider tires on the rear, or change the width of the rear?  or anything like that?

My rear wheels are 10" wide the fronts are 8"
