Dent in the Doors

Hey guys! I got a rather large dent in both of my doors!!

Is there a way I can pop them out, without cutting? They are just in the side where it is hollow but not real bad!

my truck is a '76 GMC High Sierra

Take off the door panel, roll up the window and push.

There must not be good enugh bracing or something...Iv seen alot of or trucks with week panels that dent ....Dunno might be a good thing in a way...Obsorbs in pack or something?

That's what I did with mine - then used body filler to repair the body line.  I just finished mine - I can post pictures of the finished repairs if you would like to see.

Stupid me forget to order enough paint so I am waiting for more paint before I proceed.

Well.....one door panel is already off... but I have to use grip pliers to roll up the window cuz that knob has worn those treads off the window crank or whatever it's called.

How did you get your arm down in that little hole?

Thats what i would lilke to no lol...I couldnt get my arm in there...Thats why i had to used a 200lb suction cup and yank it out

I darn near cut my arm off trying to get my window glass back on track so I could let it up!
I'm in no rush to bleed like that again!!

But....anything..even a little blood for my truck!! You know what they say blood and oil makes the grass grow!!! But only in Mississippi!!!

I could get to my dent through the big hole.  I suggest using studs (or weld on small steel nails to use as studs) and pull the dent out with the studs.  See this article to get the idea:  http://www.bodyshopzone.com/archives/collision/dent_pull_01/stud_welder.html

Then use body filler to finish her off.

If you are just looking to pop the dent out and call it a day. I use a 2x4 and bash them out. If you are looking to repair it and eventually paint etc. I would use a combo of the 2x4 method but pushing not bashing, a stud weld dent puller, hammer, & dolly. In my experience with these doors, after straitening the metal I grind the whole door down to bare metal. It real easy to get into chasing a wave across these doors. I mud the straitened area to get it somewhat strait. Then I mud the whole door with a skim coat. Then air file and hand board the whole thing. You never want filler over paint. You always want some bare metal around any filler repair.
