my brothers 94 WT with a 4.3 quit on him while he was driving down the road. my originally thought was lack of fuel . its getting gas but it has no spark.
i wont start up-no spark- i was thinking ignition coil.  i haven't got to take the cap off yet but i thought id get your guys thoughts on this.

quick way to test spark to dist. is to pull coil wire and crank over engine. I highly recommed doing this with a spark tester like ones used to check fire to spark plugs. If you don't have one, inserting a screwdriver in one end and the placing next to the block will work. DONT HOLD ON TO THE SCREW DRIVER< AND MAKE SURE THERE ISNT ANY FUEL ON THE INTAKE. It will hurt. Use clean rags or such to hold the screw driver shank off of the block about 1/16 to 1/8 inch. This should allow you to see the spark. I am not familiar with the engines, but if they are equipped with a crank sensor, this can be an issue as well, but I don't thin k they have one

ignition module...right under the distributor cap...with two plugs coming out of it...
1991 Chevy Silverado K1500 ECSB, 350, 700R4 w/shift kit, 3.42's, exhaust work...

Totally agree. That would be the next step and is not uncommon. Very good point, I forgot about it

got it figured out- was  a lose connection on a wire

1st step in trouble shooting is trouble shooting not parts changing. Glad you fixed it.
