I got mine at ACE hardware.  ACE is the place!  None in the UK, though.  :'(

Most hardware stores carry pipe plugs, but I don't know how many will carry the brass plugs.

The problem is that he's in the UK, if the plumbing-supply rack at the hardware place still *has* inch-sized stuff more than likely it's going to have Whitworth threads ::)
I got exactly the same plug overthepond needs for about $2 three weeks ago at my local Ace hardware, I'm sorry it's not so simple for him :(

I dont mind trying to find the smaller items as they sometimes pop up for a reasonable price but bigger parts are a nightmare,that was my reason for buying the suburban for parts,i managed to get 2 spare axles,door glass and windshield along with many other fiddly bits but some parts just have to be new.

The UK does not cater for petrol heads.. ???
