Not mine a customers. No green Farmalls. Only other color was white but they were for promotional purposes. They were suposed to be painted red before they were sold when the new models came out, but a few around the country were sold white.

That thing looks great.  Lots of work and it paid off.  Was the engine rebuilt???

Perhaps removing the tires from the wheels prior to painting the wheels may have been worth the while, if your customer wanted to.  But that is nitpicking.  Beautiful Job!!

The front tires are brand new, he wanted to skimp and leave the old mismatched crapy ones on there. I told him one blew while in the shop, (with a bit of help ) he's got the money. The rear held air and the rims were in excelent shape as were the tires so we opted not to break them down. The motor was not touched except a few new gaskets, it runs perfect. It had been sitting for about 6 years when he got it after his grandfather passed. ( George Dancer ). His mechanic / truck driver had it running within a few minutes to drive it on the trailer. The carb did get rebuilt, new generator, new wire harness. I did it as his shop as I don't have one of my own as of now, it would have come out better if I did the whole thing.  He started disassembly and then turned it over to an employee. Then he had that guy, his mecahnic, himself, and I did some reassembly. It was a pain in the rear, and the finished product suffered a little because of it.

now i am a red man but i do like deeres as well. i want like a 1066 or 1586 to fix up myself. don't really need anything that big but i like 'em. looks good by the way.

He is talking about buying his uncles ( almost my father inlaw years ago ) 1943 Farmall A . If he does I will be doing that one too.

87swb I know a guy you would like. He has 50 plus antique Deere tractors. Not sure what models etc. have only seen about ten of them personally. He has several steam powered ones.

Nothing yet. Probably just parades etc. Its just sitting in the corner of his shop covered up right now.
