Well that guy was lucky ur old man didn't do much worse to him!
My brother is a State trooper and my uncle is a dept sheriff and id still have to say they really dont think right! Maybe its the stress? Who knowns all i no is that there has been a few times that i got pulled over..Proved the cop WRONG....Was not being cocky and yet he still found a way to give me a ticket...Its like a game to them...But when a crime does happen...If it dont happen right in front of them or on film..They drag it out and some times nothing happens...That might even be why the cop gave him a hard time...He saw some one with a gun before he seen the real criminal in action

You have to look at it from their perspective.  They serve a public that doesn't appreciate them, for not nearly enough pay, they are lied to on a regular basis, and everything their job requires they do comes with a mile-long trail of paper work.  Traffic tickets do serve a purpose in protecting unruly motorists from themselves.  Also, if everything were done "by the book" there would be alot more petty "CS" tickets than there are now; so give the officer credit for only writing you one ticket (chances are he could have come up with more).  My advice would be if you really think you can prove your innocence, do in front of a judge, not out on the side of the interstate, you are wasting your time.  A ticket is not a declaration of guilt, just an appointment for a meeting with a judge, so try not to take personal offense to it (unless you were in the wrong, then let it be a lesson).

Jeez, it sounds like I'm real tool for the man.  LOL.

I agree 50 or more % of the people they come in contact with are dirt bags that fabricate their own truth!

Don't get me wrong i respect them...I'm friends with a lot of cops. And related to cops...But there are a few  that get into law enforcement for the wrong reason's....They use it and abuse it..And when they put the badge on they get a ego trip...And then there the ones that end up killing some one cause they spend most of there time trying to make it look good and they get scared and jump the gun..

My father was an officer in town from 64 till about 73. Thats back when you shot first, & asked questions later. He used to joke they would just whack an unruly person, then question him when they came to. " Its easier to cuff em, & stuff em when they are unconscious ". Its also easier to question them when they are cuffed, & shackled to a chair ". I remember him telling about one guy they had cuffed, & hooked to a chair with leg irons. He came to, when he saw my old man and the chief he jumped up, & ran, well tried to run! Guy took one step and was face down on the floor with a broken nose and front teeth knocked out! Still missing those teeth to this day! That would have made a good video for cops! My mother was an officer from 78 until 93, was the chief in town from 81 until 91. I have two really good friends that are officers, both chiefs of similar small town depts. like the one in my home town. One of them started out as a beat cop and worked his way to detective in Jersey. The other has been a cop here in NH for several different towns and one small city since 71. Plus I know about eight other cops and one detective. they all say its a thankless job. I saw it growing up too. I also know of about 30 cops that are complete mouth breathing morons with not 2 ounces of common sense!

http://www.guncontrol.ca/Content/Cda-US.htm

The USA should follow Canada's example for gun control.  The above link gives some statistics between the US and Canada from 1998.  For example, per 100,000 people, The US had 3.5 times as many robberies with guns than we had.  And handgun murders, 14.5 times as many as we had!  Allowing citizens to carry guns only promotes more violence.

Well that's not true at all....Guns wont make some one kill....Guns wont make some one rob you.....In the US you have to have a permit..You have to have very strict background checks done....You have to take a class....Its not the gun at all...Its the thugs and losers that Steal guns and carry them with out a permit that some one should worry about

Not sure on Canadian laws but the U.S is weak on punishment for someone who has a gun illegally.
Gun Free Zones in the U.S just creates more victims. The punks with guns no one will be there to stop em.

from the article you can see that the serious nutters dont need guns to be deadly.  criminals will always be able to get a gun even if they are outlawed all together.

All gun control does is restrict the law-abiding citizen.  The criminal? they could'nt care less what laws are out there, that is why they call them criminals!
