Lowering a stock 87 shortbed.
« on: August 04, 2008, 03:05:22 pm »
I have a stock 87 shortbed r10 with a v6, at the moment I have a 22" rim and tire combo and I would like to lower my truck. I see that there is a 5" inch lowering kit available, will this 5" drop work on my truck and still roll with the 22's?

What size tires?  The fronts will most likely rub the inner fenders with 22's.

I can guarantee you those will rub with a 5" drop.

ok... i checked my tires last night... for sure they are 265/35/22 i think they will still rub. Hopefully I can just remove some of the inner wheel well and not have to do any cutting.
