Front axle ???'s

Will a front Dana 44 from a 1972 truck fit(direct bolt on) my Blazer?
I am running 3/4 ton axles allready.
Are the spring perches and shock mounts the same?
My current corp.10 bolt is needing a rebuild and for less $$ I can pick up a Dana 44 that has recently been rebuilt(1 month old).

I have never done it but I have been told it is a direct swap. If I remember correct a guy I worked with back 20 years did this, except he took and axle out of a 73 or newer and put it in his 68.

Thanks Blazin,I am hopefully going to check it out on friday.
I'm going to measure everything I can on my current axle before I go.
I would like to get this done before snow flies.
